Just voted in the hottest 100 and this makes me want to make a list of Hottest Songs for 2010 for cycle touring.

There are probably others but I've been a bit out of the loop.

Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) - Sometimes I wonder if the worlds so small that we can never get away from the sprawl - very appropriate for places like Newcastle

Beach House - 10 Mile Stereo - They say we will go far but they don't know how far we'll go

Beach House - Norway - the opening bit just matches the coast so well

Gotye - Eyes Wide Open - for when you're on the highway with all the cars and it feels like you're the only one who is worried

Vampire Weekend - Run

Wavves - King Of The Beach - or queen? I just find the bit "You're never going to stop me, you're never going to stop me" pretty good for climbing up hills.
